About Us

Dan Como & Sons is a family owned and operated business. We are the oldest and largest suppliers of topsoil and mulch in the area. We started making topsoil in 1958 with a homemade screen and purchased our first screening machine in 1964. We then began selling "hammermill" and "processed" mulches in 1978. It was unheard of then, but it soon caught on and since then we have purchased 5 tub grinders and a dye machine.

Even through the growth of our business the same standards of excellence that started this business still exist today. We pride ourselves on quality products and excellent service. We have supplied thousands of DIY homeowners, landscaping professionals and garden centers.
